Waco police detective named foreman of grand jury that may hear Twin Peaks cases

That's a truly astonishing coincidence.

Also just a bit surprising that he got through voir dire.

...

Perhaps grand juries are different from trial juries.

Not an issue for Grand Jury Duty. Grand Juries typically just rubberstamp whatever the State's Attorney wants.

Are you sure you understand the difference between ‘trial’ jury and Grand Jury?

Although have never had the bad luck to be picked for a Grand jury, I have doubts that “voir dire” is used in picking who goes on Grand Jury.

Good information and facts are your friend. Heresay and BS do not further anyone’s cause.

Since it is a GRAND jury and not a TRIAL jury, there is no voir dire.

Grand Jury is impaneled differently.

That said, what is next Hillary in charge of the Benghazi investigation?

The second method of selecting a grand jury is basically what prosecutors would recognize
as voir dire. The judge can have a group of 20 to 125 prospective grand jurors, an array,
brought in for questioning regarding qualifications and willingness to serve.
