The 'Treme' and 'Odd Couple' actor will star opposite 'Scandal's' Kerry Washington in the TV movie.
HBO has found its Clarence Thomas.
Treme and The Odd Couple's Wendell Pierce has been tapped to play the Supreme Court justice in Confirmation, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
Confirmation, from HBO Films, details the explosive 1991 Supreme Court nomination hearings (at which Anita Hill testified), that brought the country to a standstill and forever changed the way people think about sexual harassment, victims' rights and modern-day race relations...

Biden was in charge of the hearings. When Thomas said you had to compensate people when the government took their property, Biden was visibly upset.
Anita Hill lied and should have been charged with perjury. Arlen Spector of all people proved she lied during the hearings.

They had one other women who wanted to testify that Clarence Thomas harassed her, but it turned out if I remember right that he fired her for a gay slur on a fellow employee. Biden decided she wouldn't be believable. He decided that Anita Hill was believable even though she followed him to his next job. The Dems did not want a conservative black man on the Supreme Court.
Time Warner owns HBO. Write letters saying stop or we will stop using your trashy services. Monopoly or not, there are alternatives.

I won’t call her a liar. I’ll just say it’s funny how her memory started getting not quite as precise once she took the oath and Arlen started questioning her, and leave it at that.
Arlen Specter had a lot of bad days. Those hearings were not among them.
