You might be shocked to hear this, but in the business world, a human life has a monetary value. That being said, I understand YOUR point, but it can be measured as a blend of different metrics such as career success/failure and ethical/moral values, to name a couple. Biblically, prolly both, since wealth can also enhance the giving/gifting as well. See the parable of the talents where God-given gifts should be used in the service of the Lord and that risk is rewarded.
