It should be that way for any candidate running for elective FED office: House, Senate, White House.

Any candidate for such elective FED office must resign from any elective position before he/she can run.

Too many senators, for example, have spent half their term missing legislative activities while seeking the presidency.

Let’s see who should resign his position if the above were true...

Ted Cruz
Marco Rubio
Rand Paul
Lindsay Graham
Scott Walker
Bobby Jindal
Chris Christie
John Kasich

This leaves us only with:

Jeb Bush
Donald Trump
Carly Fiorina
Ben Carson
Mike Huckabee
Rick Santorum

Senators and Representatives spend a huge amount of time fund raising and running for their own reelection.

Really? So our field should be Jeb, Patacki and Huckabee? No Cruz, Walker, Rubio, Jindal or Paul? Only washed up hacks from an old generation?
