FReepers and the conservative base in general were not fans of Fiorina when she ran for Senator because she's not a reliable conservative, period. She was a center-right candidate, and while she was MORE conservative than your typical Democrat lite RINO like Ahnuld, she was nowhere near as conservative as a Reagan Republican. Pretty much every "conservative" position she took had a "but..." qualifier: She's pro-life BUT she makes exceptions for "rape and incest" and is OKAY with confirming an avowedly pro-abortion judge. She's pro-2nd amendment BUT she's okay with "reasonable" gun restrictions. She's pro-traditional marriage BUT we need to reach out to gay couples and embrace their relationships, etc., etc. Fiorina was tied to the hip of the Romney-McCain wing of the party and their handpicked candidate for U.S. Senate.
She's done a good job re-inventing herself as a "fearless conservative fighter" for her Presidential run and selling that imagine to gullible primary voters, and a bunch of FReepers have been drinking the kool-aid. The media has been complicit in this and wants to market her as a "rising conservative star" and top veep pick for whatever nefarious reason they have. Others simply don't want to point out her flaws because they like what she says about Hillary.
But her political ideology hasn't changed. She's very far down on the list of GOP presidential candidates if you ranked them by how conservative they are. They only candidate I'd say for certain that are to her left are George Pataki, and ironically, Donald Trump (who has also reinvented himself as a conservative, but has a track record 180o degrees away from that). Even the utterly loathed Jeb Bush, Lindsay Graham, and Christ Christie may be slightly to the right of Fiorina, if you look at their overall policy positions and record over the years.
Yep, my fear is that he becomes the Ross Perot candidate... with the exact same impact on the election as Perot had in 1992.
The GOP fear is that having a all white-males (is it 20 or 30 of them now??) on stage at a debate all beating up on Hillary will revive the ‘war against wimmin’ and bring out the women to vote for her like black wimmin lined up to vote for Obama in 2012.
They think that having a woman candidate trashing Hillary will immunize them.
I think she's running for Jeb’s VP.
Well, she can have her party, right along with no-surname Jeb and all other anti-American, pro-illegal alien candidates!
CRUZ TO THE TOP AND GO TRUMP!
Have her take his quote, word for word, and restate it in her own words or STFU.
Trump is a master entertainer, knows what is said on talk radio and how to repeat it and is really fun to watch (for me too) .
but as a wise freeper once pointed out here:
“ He told us exactly what we wanted to hear, isnt that what its all about?”
The Dream of a President kick butts Trump (or If only Trump ran.. ) sickoflibs | 5/19/2011 |
Trump is no conservative, and probably has a personality disorder. He’ll get no praise from me for telling me what I want to hear on one issue FOR THE SPECIFIC purpose of getting my positive attention (and I think he loves the negative attention too, were talking about him, that’s what he wants).
Carly is a typical establishment figure, she’d have been just peachy for a Senator from Cali, as a veep, there are better, more qualified, and more conservatives choices with and without vaginas.
If she tears Hillary a new ***hole, she can be Secretary of Commerce. That would be my offer to her. If she can’t do that, or wants a higher position she’s not fit for, she can go fudge herself.
I’d say Trump is leaving the best for last.....black on white violence.
As soon as he touches it, all the other Gopers will say “yeah Trump is right but....”
“...Trump is a master entertainer, knows what is said on talk radio and how to repeat it...”
True that. It means he’s LISTENING to people. More so than any of the others are doing, at any rate. We’ll see how it plays out.
He KNOWS that what’s coming across the border isn’t “an act of love”.
Most thinking, rational people call it an invasion.
“...Trump is no conservative, ...”
True enough. I’d never assumed he was. But my point is that at the very least he’s floodlighting an issue that the others are too spineless to bring up. And that in itself is good.
People are hearing it, and it’s resonating.
“Guess that murder in San Francisco didnt sink in with Carly. Adios to her candidacy.”
When one is determined to political suicide, let em!
“The Donalds right: Rich successful Mexicans dont come here, they send their filth.”
Drug dealers
Identity criminals (6 DL’s and six SS cards). Illegals driving Cadillac Escalades. Nice work if you can get it.
“I think she’s running for Jebs VP. “
Not a bad guess.
Carly, stick to attacking Hillary. It’s your role here. Embrace it.
“Trump is this elections clown candidate.”
No he isn’t. I see you use the buzz word of the LIBs, “clown”. Also the same chosen buzz word of the RINO GOPe seeking to diminish Trump. Which category do you fit in, GOPe RINO or LIB? Are you a sleeper cell for the enemy?
Bye bye Carly, I’m down to Trump, Paul, Cruz in that order.
PC is an enemy of free speech and she seems to be on the wrong side.
How about ATTACKING Obunga instead of fellow candidates.
Not quite true, Paul has not condemned Trump, yet. But Cruz was fast out of the gate to defend Trump, so he gets a big “attaboy”. That almost erases the “oh s**t” he got for siding with the globalists pigs on TPA.
Not as many as you might think. Also remember that the part of the world that the Arabs took over was the wealthiest best educated part of the Eastern Roman Empire. The crown jewel of of the ancient world. The remnant's of the best of Hellenistic, Egyptian and Roman culture. It took awhile for the Arabs to reduce the culture to barbarism we see today.
