Not a fair comparison, Neville Chamberlain loved his country, and deep down knew war with Nazi Germany was inevitable, but that Britain was nowhere near close to being ready for war in 1938.

Chamberlain was mistaken and somewhat naive in his hopes for peace. Obama is deliberate in his withdrawal from active response to threat. He is not mistaken, he is purposefully putting his narcissistic legacy over the safety and freedom of America.
