Seize the banks, issue IOUs, draw on "secret" reserves, print counterfeit Euro notes ...

The more I think about this, the more I think Syriza (actual Communists for all practical purposes) is deliberately fostering complete financial chaos as an excuse to seize total power in Greece, all the while using the "evil" Europeans as their excuse for "giving them no other alternative" but to establish a Communist dictatorship.

Wish they all could be California,
Wish they all could be California,
Wish they all could be California, IOU’s.

Sorry, that just came out.

Folks in Greece are in real danger. Sounds scary.

Someone here was saying the Nazis seized their gold assets way back and they never recovered after that.

Any truth to that?

They seem to be trying to cater to the Communists, let them I say. They seem to have forgotten all the ideals of democracy so little is lost.

Sounds a thinly veiled threat that they plan to start counterfeiting euros... Wars have been started over less. That finance minister might be singing a different tune once Interpol starts issuing warrants.

Plus throw in a little help from Russia and/or China, who would like to politically weaken the EU.

I don't see how the EU can institute the ultimate moral hazard and survive as a currency union.

Not only that, but in the Germanic countries it's politically untenable. Merkle would be quickly removed from office at any hint of an unsecured bailout and no reform in Greece.

And it's also certain that Greece will never reform and never be able to pay it's debts nor the diminished interest on them.

There's no other answer besides cut them lose and let the chips fall where they may.

we will issue parallel liquidity and California-style IOU's

Well, that's an interesting statement. Is California's financial foolishness so well known that the state is now a model for failed nations everywhere?

My main question is how does the US taxpayer ultimately foot the bill here?
I know it sounds crazy, but if the Greeks refuse to pay money they owe to the EU, somehow to NWO, that makes it the responsibility of America.

Just watch.

The EU said ‘give back your entitlements’, to which the Greeks replied ‘Molon Labe!’ We know how that turned out last time...

"They want a new team installed, one that is willing to draw on the central bank's secret reserves, and to take the provocative step in extremis of creating euros."

Whoa. That doesn't look good. Are they taking advice from Kim Jong Un?

Germany, France and a few other nations have probably been doing some military planning in regards to Greece for a long time.

If Syriza intends to seize power, they forgot to control the Defense Ministry.

Turns out that Syriza came short of a majority in the last election and brought in the Conservative anti-EU faction as their coalition partners.

Panos Kammenos, leader of the “Independent Greeks”, is the Defense Minister and he’s not a Communist.

“Independent Greeks” are not Fascists who are the “Golden Dawn”.

The “Indpendent Greeks” were kicked out of the Republican type party of Greece, New Democracy, for being anti-EU.

Greece may have a Leftist led government, but its a ‘pinprick’ compared to the Socialist-Cartel Capitalists-Sexual Progressives of the European Union.

Question.

If Greece went back to the drachma, would it be worth the same as the Soviet ruble during the Cold War? The equivalent of Monopoly money in the international markets?
