I don’t expect cops to do any differently than I, as a civilian would do, if someone points a gun at me.
I’ll stop shooting when the other shooter stops moving.
I’ll go one step further.
Never brandish anything remotely resembling a weapon at any uniformed LEO.
That automatically negates any support from me, as a citizen, for the dead idiot.
It gets a little dicier if the cop is “undercover”, but that situation does not apply here.
So what if the gun turned out to be fake? The police have no idea that it’s fake and they have their own lives as well as everyone around them to protect in a split-second decision.
The cop-haters on FR can say what they want but when a suspect pulls something that looks like a weapon, the police response will be the same every time.
