To me, this discovery of gut bacteria driving hunger is **very** encouraging.
About 8 years ago I lost 80 pounds. I have gained 30 back over that time. That is less than 4 pounds a year which amounts to one to two Oreo cookies too much each day.
Every day is a walk through hunger hell. It is only through extreme and minute by minute control and brute determination that I have done as well as I have.
Gee! I would love to be free from the struggle. I am **exhausted**!
Children whose homes do not have dishwashers are thinner than children whose moms use dishwashers. Maybe, dishes that are less sterilized tend to promote gut bacteria that is more healthy.
I often wonder about salads bought in the store that are sooooooo clean that they are ready to eat. Maybe, I should start shopping at the local farmer's market. ( My mom bought her veggies from the huckster who came through the neighborhood twice a week.)
My father used to say that the only diet that worked was to put your two hands on the table and push.
The medical establishment has been sneering at alternative providers’ treatment of candida for years, when it has been clear that diet can change gut bacteria in a good way, positively further affecting diet and weight, for some time.
