“The people of Greece don’t want out, though! They want to stick with the Euro. They want no austerity AND to stay in the Eurozone.”

It was the older generations who want to stay in the EU. The younger generations voted to leave. Generalization, but largely true.

This vote strengthens the President’s hand in negotiations.
If it turns out there is a 61% vote for NO, that is a huge middle finger to Brussels.

Where are you hearing that? When asked is they want to leave the Eurozone, the vast majority of Greeks say no. Even the government of Tsipras has said that a no vote doesn’t mean they will leave the Eurozone.

They just want more money with no obligation to not pay it back. Look at the campaign that Tsipras ran six months ago: no austerity, better concessions on the 340,000,000,000 Euro loan, and more loan guarantees.

They voted for that! This isn’t about freedom, this is about freeloading.
