Perry: Trump ‘Offensive’ Remarks Don’t ‘Represent’ the GOP
Breitbart ^ | 07/05/15 | Pam Key

Posted on 07/05/2015 8:14:48 AM PDT by Enlightened1

Sunday on ABC’s “This Week With George Stephanopoulos,” former Texas Governor and Republican presidential candidate Rick Perry said Donald Trump’s remarks about Mexican immigrants being rapist and criminals were “offensive.”

Addressing Trumps criticism of his handling of border security Perry said “I don’t think he understands the challenge, obviously.”

Perry continued, “The fact is, I have said clearly that Donald Trump does not represent the Republican Party. I was offended by his remarks. Hispanics in America and Texas, from the Alamo to Afghanistan have been extraordinary people, citizens of our country and of our state. They have served nobly and to paint with that broad of a brush, like Donald Trump did, he’s going to have to defend those remarks. I never will. And I will stand up and say those were offensive, which they were.”

Perry is typical of many Texans, a conservative democrat in most other states, dressed in RINO clothing.

Today’s poem.

I’m voting Trump in every poll I see.

Just to upset the GOP-E.

Wow the media is REALLY FEARFUL of Trump. That’s why they are all attacking for him.

They are fearful of what he’s saying, because it is the truth. They have spent years trying to convince American citizens to give up their country to fraudulently documented foreigners who have broken into our country.

Both parties and The Ministry Of Propaganda want The Cheap Labor Express to keep running despite the fact that 75% of the citizens want it stopped.

Trump is exposing the traitors.

Gov Perry used to be a champion of conservatism. Problem is, the GOP doesn’t exist anymore. I’m on the Trump Express.

How in the world was it possible for a man like Obama to become President of the United States of America?

The only way is if the “opposition “ party provides a designated loser who had just tried to jam amnesty down America’s throat TWICE and was as popular as poison ivy among Republicans. And then he runs a campaign where he praises his opponent and all but endorses him.

“...Donald Trump’s remarks about Mexican immigrants being rapist and criminals”

Don’t ‘cha love the way the media “edit” conservative comments into something rather different from what was said?

Trump is flying onto the Flak.

That was a test and Perry just failed it.

“Perry continued, “The fact is, I have said clearly that Donald Trump does not represent the Republican Party.”

Well Rick, you sure as $hit don’t, so STFU! As a former DemoRAT you don’t have “standing” to say that!
The good news here is he’s eliminated himself from the get go!

It is THE most important thing to all those you mentioned.

Everything is about the amnesty.

“Rick Perry is confusing Mexican illegal aliens with Mexican Americans.”

It’s not that confusing. He’s doing it deliberately for purposes of pandering - just like the Dems, the LSM, and the rest of the GOP candidates (except Cruz).

LOL. Maybe "Texans"living in Austin who are mostly leftist transplants from dying states like California. You don't know many Texans do you?

I know Rick Perry, he is great in small groups and a pretty sharp guy. But this was a box of rock stupid thing to do. It shows how smart Cruz is because Cruz said some positive things about Trump. It also proves that there is recent internal polling somewhere that is scaring the cajones off the establishment Republicans when it comes to Donald Trump. Trump has played things very smartly. He hits back hard when people hit him. Nobody else running does that because they do not have the megaphone that Trump has. The more Trump slaps back the more the other candidates look weak. Trump can basically dismiss some of the things that are thrown at him and the more he does that the more armor he has. What Perry is showing us is that the Republican establishment is saying "$hit, this is not working" when it comes to damaging Trump.

This is all very interesting to watch. Carl rove must be wetting his pant over Trump.

The GOP is getting very dangerously close to destroying it’s own party as they attack their own members.

Because no one was buying what they're selling. They even had to start renaming parts of the GOP, the RINOs, GOPe, the tea party section etc, attempting to hold on to members. It became so bad all it took was some guy to walk up and start telling the truth.

Gov Perry used to be a champion of conservatism.

He happily supported taxpayer-subsidized handouts for ILLEGAL aliens in his first year as governor. When was he a "champion of conservatism?

With Perry's long history of support for ILLEGAL invaders he must really be bothered by Trump's anti-invader rhetoric.

Good.
