The Senate represents the states and the House represents the People. Works for me.

It would work for me, if it were true. . . but the States ratified the idiotic 17th Amendment and committed Political Suicide in the name of "Democracy" and slew that demon the "Republic." When states elected senators, they exercised the power of instruction—they could direct their senators to vote a certain way on important matters. The Seventeenth Amendment formally ended this power, for now senators were beholden to the voters. Pure BS.

A lot of the insiders believe that. Going back to W. Wilson and before that America should have stayed with Britian.
