Bad news for you - those ‘72 Monte Carlos weren’t “minimally modified.” In fact most NASCAR “stock” cars have used full tube-frame chassis since about the mid 1960’s, although those early tube frames were covered in body panels that closely resembled the street cars they purported to be.
