MCCONNELL: Proposed sale of Humana the result of 'Obamacare'

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell issued a statement Friday morning, saying he predicted the "type of consolidation" exhibited by the proposed sale of Humana to Aetna and pointed to the Affordable Care Act as the root cause.

McConnell's statement reads as follows:

"For more than 30 years, Humana has been a cornerstone of economic growth and a great philanthropic partner in our community. This morning’s announcement, as I predicted during the debate five years ago, is the inevitable result of Obamacare’s push toward consolidation as doctors, hospitals, and insurers merge in response to an ever-growing government."

The solutions to lower health care rates and more coverage is more competition, more choice, and more providers. We are now getting less competition, less choice, and less providers.

If government doesn’t undo this (which is an uphill battle that requires a solid, unwavering conservative in the White House), we’re going to need an Uber-like disruption that works around the system.

McConnell is every bit as responsible for this as Obama.

“less competition, less choice, and less providers”

Everyone always forgets “less regulations”

I know that. Remember the scene from the Hunt for October?

Yet Turtlehead would vote to continue Obamacare and continue funding it, expand it, etc.

Not to mention that no matter how much you pay in premiums there is no longer any plan that pays 100% hospitalization.

It disappeared overnight once the marxists nationalized health insurance.

No wonder the insurance companies love it.

Even the most expensive plans that used to cover your hospital stay 100% if you had a baby or an operation now require 2-3 thousand minimum out of pocket per person and up to 7000 per family.

This is after you pay 16-18 thousand in annual premiums.

I have insurance that I won’t use unless I’m getting a heart transplant or its a member of my family.

For anything else, I’ll tell them I’m an uninsured illegal.

Could’ve stood by Cruz when he filibustered it, but the turtle is part of the problem. After the American voters issued massive anti-Democrat restraining orders in the 2010 and 2014 elections, there is no sign of restraint from the likes of McConnell and Boehner. Just one cave after another.

Cruz, Sen. Sessions of Alabama and a few others are about the only worthwhile senators in the whole bunch. The rest, led by McConnell are not worth a dime.

before ObamaCare hit Washington state (where I live), there were 16 health care providers. There are now just 4

So much for being able to leverage shop for care.

Yurtle doesn’t take “no” for an answer unless “no” lines his pockets tenfold. He’s rather crafty. In one episode he cheated by bringing in all his twin brothers, having the appearance of being in 10 different places at once.

Never underestimate Yurtle. The appearance of weakness is his strength. The appearance of dumbness is his intelligence.
