Actually, the headline doesn't match the content of the article. It makes it sound as if the regime knew ten days in advance about the attack. Reading the article, it says they were informed September 12 that the attack had been planned for ten days prior.

Good point. It still surprises me how many people react to BS headlines. I think the writers know their business...

In the New Free Republic, actually reading the article has fallen out of fashion, only a few old farts do it these days. I suspect that many posters don’t even read the headline, or at least they don’t understand what the headline says.

The thread, however, has taken on its own life, many posts after the disconnect pointed out by Freeper marron. Months from today, threads and comments will proclaim the headline to be a proven fact, as read right hear on FR. I’m not sure that either statement is true, but both are not likely to be so.
