The Iraqi Kurds were reliable allies that now no longer have reason to trust the United States - we abandoned them and nearly let them be overtaken by ISIS.
Just one of countless disasters caused by the Obama administration.

Kurds are going their own whey.

whether the US likes it or not
That's going to fall under 'likes it not' I'm afraid. The neighborhood Turks are up to do the heavy lifting on that.

I hate to say it, but when Biden proposed that Iraq be cut into three separate States, Kurdish / Sunni / Shia, he may have been on to something.
Of course, I’m looking at it like a Monday Morning Quarterback.

Good for them!
Maybe Biden was right after all when he said that Iraq should be broken up into three pieces after the fall of Hussein - kurdistan, Shiiteistan, and Sunnistan. It may still be a good idea.
Same with splitting the US into LiberalWasteland and HeavenOnEarthland.

That’s really the only thing they can do to protect their own survival in a hostile neighborhood. They deserve our support but won’t get it.

Good for them! They’ve earned it and will have done the whole world a favor by their sacrifices. Syria as a state no longer exists and has no need to be restored with full territorial integrity.

The Obama administration continues to oppose the creation of a new state. "The policy of this Administration has been clear and consistent in support of a unified Iraq," a State Department spokesman said. "A unified Iraq is a stronger Iraq and is important to the stability of the region as well." More important, that's what Iran wants -- a unified Iraq, under their control. And the Obama administration wants what Iran wants.
Further, Iran has no interest in an independent Kurdish state, given her own Kurdish minority.
Clearly, we are doing Iran's bidding -- against our own national interest!

Bush should have chopped ‘’IRAQ’’

his failure to do so has
