This is exactly what I like about him. He can’t be bought by lobbyists who are destroying our nation and the lives of the American people. Jobs, baby. Jobs for Americans so we can once again live the American dream.

Glad you found a way to enjoy it, on your level anyway.

Everybody is for sale. And as a business man Donald knows it. The only real difference between him and the crowd on that front is he probably has a really good idea what his price is and why it should be that high. Most people undersell themselves.

It would be interesting if we could immediately see how many posts a FReeper has under their belt. I’m by no means the most prolific, but I’m in the 5 digits.

We can.

But don't look at my posts - I've made only a handful in 17 years!

Seems we used to be able to see how many replies people had made too.
Derned if I remember how though.

Really? I’ve never figured it out. I know I’m in the 12,000 plus range, but don’t know how to look up someone else.

I think Trump is a buffoon, but the people who feel compelled to respond to what he is saying make me wonder what they know that I do not.

As we get closer to the election, I’m sensing a mass zotting forthcoming. Cruz/Trump or Trump/Cruz would be an awesome team.

“Have we really reached the point where we are cheering this clown? If so, then things truly are desperate.”

Yes, they are! Trump would not be my choice, but then so would all but one or two of the others that are running. I get fundraising requests on a daily basis from many of the current crop of candidates, Trump isn’t one of them!
I say, let him spend his money, say what he has to say, and let the voters decide. I mean with all of the GOP candidates since RR, being semi or completely worthless, we could do a lot worse than Trump if he ends up in first place. At least he wouldn’t have to steal from us to get rich like the Clintons and the Obamas.

I, too, like what he’s doing and saying, and it is because he’s pretty straight-forward. Not a lot of pretense going on. My guess is that a man with billions is a bit harder to buy off with publicity or cash. He can get all those he wants on his own.

I suspect the only way to buy him off is with the presidency itself, and that’s the one thing his detractors apparently are united in wanting to deny him.

Based on one of Rush’s favorite line from Shakespeare,

what you posted is soulless. Or witless.

I think Trump is a buffoon, but the people who feel compelled to respond to what he is saying make me wonder what they know that I do not.

What we know, and apparently you do not, is that Trump is addressing many issues Americans want addressed. Importantly, he is talking about them in a non-political fashion.

Not only does he stand by his statements, he goes after those who attack him for saying them with the viciousness of a pit bull.

Who else is doing that?

Sadly, no one.

At this time he’s not interfering with other candidates’ fundraising so, as I said, I enjoy him.
But... “Ross Perot! Ross Perot! Ross Perot!” Has to scream in any sensible person’s head.

Who can forest his election of Clinton?
And Jesse Ventura, what a good job he did of saying the right things.

So he’s dandy, like liquor or candy, but I don’t see the meat and potatoes.
