Webb's measured statement last week on the Confederate flag hysteria probably disqualifies him from getting a single RAT vote. Remember when Howard Dean, as head of the DNC, said the Party had to appeal to guys with Confederate flags on the back of their pickups? Good times. Maybe that's the demographic Webb is going after.

On the other hand Webb staunchly opposed the Iraq war from the very beginning, and a number of RATs have never forgiven Hillary! on that score.

Webb may be running for VP.
