“Funny what a difference the correct spark plug will make”

Great deal!

“1965, that was”

A great year for me. I was 11, and raced carts, and had a mini bike that was just too fast!. Those old 2 strokes (West Bend & McCulloch) were a blast. I had an MC 9

If you're a fan wanting to bring in a 15-foot Confederate flag to fly on track property while at a race or are planning to use the symbol as a way to make a boisterous statement, you're likely going to be asked to not do so and possibly escorted out of the track premises.

Because we Nazi Asswhipes have to enforce GLEICHSCHALTUNG!

This is the flag they are flying now.

Everyone of these people who are calling for a ban on the Confederate flag are weak-kneed, lily-livered, hypocrites, jumping on the cultural Marxists politically correct bandwagon so so they be with the “in” crowd. None of them have principles that you can count on.

I used to work with a guy like that. Great guy, good friend, totally inept. We were working on a project one day where we needed to build a joist section. This was way outside both our job descriptions.

I got everything set up and realized I forgot to get something from the lumber yard. I laid out the joists and told him how to nail them together and left.

Returning 30 minutes later, he had one nail in...almost.

Avid NASCAR fan here. This is a stupid pc decision on the part of Bill France, Jr., Earnhardt, Jr. and anyone else who participated in this concept. NASCAR is a Southern based, red neck based sport. I look forward to seeing the Confederate Battle Flag flown in abundance at current and pending NASCAR events.

Next on the pc list: the invocation or prayer in the starting race ceremonies.

This hooey on the part of the liberal/socialist/moonbat left never ends. Enough is never enough for them.

NASCAR should not kowtow to liberal loonyville.

Norm, that's certainly another valid way to deal with the situation.

I think pushing back and getting back in their faces with as many Confederate flags as possible just sends a far more immediate and powerful message. The impact would be felt immediately.

BTW: I'm not exactly sure how many Liberals there are selling confederate flags. The nice lady I spoke to the other day at a flag company in Alabama was a nice, Conservative, God-fearing woman who talked me into buying four Confederate flags. I look forward to them arriving and YES, I will be flying it right alongside my American Flag, my Gadsden Flag, and am putting a new post in for the Confederate flag.

It's like this for me: When the Government tells you that you don't need guns, that's the EXACT time that you do!

Same with the Confederate flag in my book. The Federales and the limp wristed bed-wetting kneepad wearing liberals are running around trying to shut anyone down who flied a Confederate flag.

This is when we need to be in their faces right back.

Just like Chik-Fil-A a few years ago. The gaystapo thought they had Chik-Fil-A right where they wanted 'em until hundreds of thousands of right minded people calmly, quietly and happily formed lines that stretched for thousands of people at each location.

Yeah, we need to push back and shove it right back in their faces Norm. But that's just my opinion. I know yours differs and I respect that.

Unbelievable!! I used to race twin Benders on a Dart cart in the 60’s in central Calif. Used to run alcohol-methanol fuel mix and modified my Benders for three carbs per engine. Man that thing was scary!!!

Hard to start so we attached a Ford starter motor to a hand truck with a 12-volt battery and used a V-belt to the centrifugal clutches...lots of smoke and flame, (which you couldn’t see) and I could easily beat any car through parking lot autocrosses...until they wouldn’t let us compete.

Used to race at Vacaville, Escalon, Fresno, Auburn and Sacramento. Kept us broke and out of trouble during fun teen years.

My parents would be on death row for all the stunts they let my brother and I do.

Don’t get me wrong.Hard pushback is a good thing. I fully support it.

I think where we differ is long vs short term. We both get to the same end, just in different ways. i see this as part of a greater whole. I may well be way overthinking it. I admit that.

NASCAR is one piece of the puzzle that is cloned across the board. It is he same tactic here as the front lawn of the statehouse or the TV newsroom. Pavlovian social engineering.

Your way results in instant action/reaction. This is great short term. It is ALSO great long term if repeated and sustained.

My way removes the core of the issue. The leftists profiting financially and philosophically. There is no instant result. But long term it hits far beyond NASCAR. It hits the likeminded corps.

I’m a Yankee and, like most of us,don’t “get” NASCAR.However,I would hope and pray that *everyone* who attends their events in the future bring a large flag...and display it prominently!

Daytona said you can fly it, but they’ll also give you an American flag if you trade it in...

Sue NASCAR for violation of 1st Amendment rights.

Hit them in the pocketbook.

The easiest way to think of it is like this.

We all have something we like alot.Golf, cooking, whatever. Normal people. It’s just the way we are. Then you have some people that REALLY like cooking or golf or whatever. Think of Trekkies with a DVD collection of all the series and maybe a couple die cast models of the Enterprise atop the TV.

Then you have hardcore fans that can read Klingon and write it. Thats what many NASCAR fans are like. Some like it for the actual racing, some like it like a reality TV show.

Because there are so many fans, there’s always something new and exciting to keep interest peaked. Some new collectable, some story about the driver and the flag girl, whatever. It is it’s own ecosystem. You may have heard the phrase “NASCAR Is LIFE!”. For a lot of folks, it really is. It’s a thing that became an entire lifestyle.

I am a motorhead that never really cared for racing in circles. I like bouncing through the desert with a roll cage around me. Off-Road racing has the same dynamic to it. As does SCCA or NHRA. But NASCAR has FAR more fans to keep the party rolling.

They’re doing what many other entities in the USA have or are doing...pandering in hopes of “diversifying” their fan base.

1 example; BSA caved to homos to pander to a miniscule percentage of homo Scouts in order to retain favor with others.

NASCAR is no different in this regard...

They’ve become part of the “culture” instead of being a culture.

I used to go to Stafford Motor Speedway...I do watch it if I’m near a tv on Sunday or Saturday night. I’m rooting for Joey and Brad, but NASCAR is not what it is — now it is a race between a Toy and a Chevy, which was bailed out by the US taxpayers.

At Loudon (New Hampshire International) I used to see the Confederate flag. It is part of NASCAR history.

Dale, Jr. agreed with that moronic statement? Dale is the most popular driver who has his dad’s name, but not his dad’s talent.

Oh,I understand that a country,or a region of a country, can be wild about a certain sport...or food...or activity. My comment wasn’t a put-down of NASCAR (or the South).Actually, the only reason that I don’t have the Stars & Bars on my car up here in Massachusetts is because it would be *so* unusual and controversial that my car would be subject to vandalism and *I* might even be subject to assault.Things are so bad up here that I’ve *repeatedly* had bumper stickers of Republican candidates and conservative causes ripped from my car.
