The iconic 1945 photo of Marines raising the American flag over Iwo Jima has been recreated with the gay pride flag.
The recreated image shows four muscular, skin-baring men raising a rainbow flag in place of the Marines and the American flag.

My husband and I built a beautiful house in a great family oriented neighborhood. Several years later, someone moved into a house a street over and the first thing they did was to hang a huge gay flay from their porch. It was so ‘in your face’ it was disgusting.

Sometimes I think they do things like this just to get the other side riled up. I ignore it and don’t let them know when they get to me. I won’t let them win that game... like internet trolls who try to start fights on purpose.
I calculated it out one time, and it came out to one Marine being killed every seven and a half minutes, for thirty six days.
And a Marine or sailor being wounded once every two and a half minutes for 36 days.
That is just ONE reason that childish, narcissistic picture irritates me.

BTW four of the men in the Iwo photo were dead two days later
Therre were six men in the photo, two of whom, I believe Strank and Gagnon, are hard to discern from the angle...before fighting ended on Iwo Jima, three of these men were dead, Strank, Sousley, and Block...
Commandeering such an iconic moment is not an insult; that is too kind a word...it is utter depravity, of the sort that destroys human relationships; despicable beyond the wildest possible use of that word...
