Trump: Where’s The Public Outcry for Obama Calling Mexicans ‘Gang-Bangers’?
Mediaite ^ | 7/1/15 | Ken Meyer

Posted on 07/02/2015 6:12:49 AM PDT by jimbo123

Donald Trump posted a statement from his campaign to Instagram on Wednesday to comment on a town hall event where President “Barrack Obama” (his misspelling) referred to some illegal immigrants as “gang-bangers.”

While Trump plugged his “Make America Great Again” campaign and said that this was one of his rare agreements with the president, he said it was hypocritical that the liberal media’s not generating public outcry against Obama when his statements were “far less controversial.”

Obama’s statements came off a question about the Affordable Care Act, where he went on to say that policy reform was necessary for resource distribution and aiding law-abiding immigrants on the path to becoming citizens:

We should not be encouraging illegal immigration. What we should be doing is setting up a smart, legal immigration system that doesn’t separate families, but does focus on making sure that people who are dangerous, people who are gang-bangers or criminals — that we’re deporting them as quickly as possible.

I don't think Obama said all Mexicans were gang-bangers.

Neither did Trump say 'all Mexicans'.In fact he said ... "and some, I assume, are good people.". The media twisted it into 'all Mexicans', just like they said that Sarah 'saw Russia from her house' ...

On this, and fighting democRATs boldly, unapologetically, on their own terms ... Go Donald!

Trump may not be the best choice for president, and may not have a chance but at least he's giving the 'rats Hell. He's out there exposing them and saying things that nobody else has the guts to say- and he doesn't back down. I admire his courage.

But where was he when the muzzie first threw his turban in the ring? Surely he knew about his muzzie and commie upbringing and mentors. why didn't he speak up?

Why? With respect to this issue of Obama calling Mexicans “gang-bangers”, why is Trump pathetic?

You don't see it? "What are you picking on me for..look at what Obama did?" Right off the schoolyard.

Neither did Trump...

No he said they were all drug dealers, criminals, and rapists. Though he did leave open the possibility that some might be good people he couldn't swear to it.

"When Mexico sends its people, they're not sending their best. They're not sending you. They're not sending you. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with us. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people."

LOL, Trump is so pathetic.

I think that Trump is a jackass, but he has a point here. If a white politician or commentator refers to inner city or barrio hoodlums as "thugs" or "gang-bangers," he's excoriated for racism. If a liberal minority politician or talking head occasionally points out the obvious by using these words, that's just fine.

Trump stated the truth, very inartfully and impolitically. Obama lied about the gang bangers, b/c he is NOT deporting them.

That is just a silly analogy.

"...and some, I assume, are good people.".

So...he doesn't know for sure if any are good people? Because that's what assuming really is, a guess. An educated guess perhaps, but still something you are not prepared to say for sure. So Trum is guessing that maybe a few are good people. And that makes it all better?

Trump is a Democrat. I’m amazed at how much play he gets on the internet’s premier conservative forum.

He says what people want to hear about immigration. But he’s all bombast.

Rush had it right. He hoped Obama would fail. Unfortunately, with the help of moderate Republicans, his agenda has done immense damage to our country.

Apparently you see it as some sort of whining.

I don’t see Trump as a whiner. I see him as fighting back. He draws attention to the left’s hypocrisy.

Additionally ... he was clearly referring only to the segment of the 'Mexican people' who have crossed illegally into the U.S., and not at all to the law-abiding Mexican people still living in their own country. Duh.

You sure hop on quickly and readily to the liberal bandwagon and twisting of words perspective ... just sayin'

1000%....haven’t we been complaining about the duplicity and hypocrisy?? good for Trump pointing this out..

i’m surprised he missed and opportunity with NBC. i.e, pointing out the fact the network’s cable station, the one nobody watches, employs al sharpton....

First how did Trump hear about the “gang-banger” thing if someone in the leftist-sphere did not voice disapproval and second it seems like a childish attempt to shift the attention away. He’d be better off letting others make such points for him.

Oh yes, I agree, it is. I don’t know if I was meaning to be hyperbolic, critical, or just sarcastic.

“No he said they were all drug dealers, criminals, and rapists. Though he did leave open the possibility that some might be good people he couldn’t swear to it.”

Can you not even read and understand what you put in quotes?

He did not say they were ALL anything, and clearly SOME are. To be sure ALL have broken the law just by virtue of the fact that they entered the country illegally. So they are ALL criminals.

Statistically speaking, when a million or more people invade or enter a country illegally, knowingly breaking the law, more than a few of the lawbreakers are probably (otherwise) good people.

So true. Trump is the only candidate talking about the real issues and the problems we face.

You know what's pathetic, Republicans, who because of their dislike for a particular candidate, will use the tactic of the left to willfully discredit. Trump is pointing out the absolute hypocrisy of the left in wanting to call him out on words they bend and twist but not do the same to Obama. Nothing pathetic about that if you remove your bias.

So...we should go with what he means and not what he says? That's going to make for a challenging campaign.

I don't know of any bending and twisting and Trump says he stands by every word.
