I’ve been diagnosed a patient with small particle air pollution problems since moving (to help my son’s family) into the Flint, Michigan area. I’ll be leaving this fall back to my little air museum in the Florida Keys. This air pollution problem is real, can be quantified, and resists treatment in some patients, like me. I’ve been here in FreeRepublic since 1997, from the Reagan-Military “wing.” I don’t claim any expertise in air pollution Science; but have consulted my primary care physician here who treats many people like me. Simply, I’m leaving Flint!

If you’re suffering from particulate poisoning I would say you’ve probably become an expert by now. I lived in Michigan for two years (Port Huron) and love it there but it’s ranked in the top 10 states for air pollution. In 2010 Flint was ranked as the most dangerous city in the U.S. for violent crime.

Enjoy the Keys.
