The Very Rev. Jose Luis Mendoza-Barahona of Honduras gave an impassioned speech, saying the new church law 'goes against the Bible' and would create a chasm in the church.

“The fight has not ended, it’s starting,” he said. “Those of us in the church who are 'loyal followers of Christ are going to remain firm in NOT recognizing what happened today.”

What’s with the hyphenated names for men?

They obviously do not believe in the Bible. What is their religion based on?

Fond wishes, no doubt.

Anglican. Some Episcopalians in the US are separating and becoming Anglicans. Episcopalians only constitute 2-3% of US Christians and are at risk of losing even more members and property. Marrying gays is not going to improve things for them. Ever since they turned hyper-liberal, it has been a downhill slide.

The last name in the hyphenated name is the mother's maiden name.

Mos5 High Church Anglicans saw this coming 20 years ago, myself included. They have left the ECUSA to its’ sin and gone searching for real places of worship. Anglican Communion worldwide has already disowned the US church and a lot of parishes and at least one whole Dioces, San Joaquin, left en masse to join the Anglican Communion Southern Cone, which is the South American church.

Let’s just call it “The Rainbow Church”.

The ‘feel good’ denomination. No surprise on this. Let the gays go to the Episcopalians for their weddings and leave the rest of the Christians alone.

Don’t some Methodist and Lutheran sects promote “diversity?”

I know a Methodist that just attended the Methodist conference and they told me the ‘gay agenda’ was voted down. I don’t know any Lutherans or what they think on the issue but I’m sure you can find some offshoots of every denomination that are accepting of it.

Heavenly Father, I pray out of love you would rebuke Your children, that they may know You are Lord and the sheep who are lost may find their way home. In Jesus' name, Amen.

So glad I left that “church”...nothing but a liberal cult now. I’m betting all churches will follow suit. This “take them all in and love them” theme running through the Christian fabric today forgets that you love them and then they repent...that’s no longer a criteria. Their sins are not forgiven, but accepted, and now supported. the NeoChristianity will go down the same tube as the Reoublic.

That’s not a church, it’s a social club

That pretty much defines any of today’s modern churches...any takers on how long it takes some dissident Catholic priest to marry two lesbian nuns...? Maybe the Vatican will issue an indult, like it did for receiving the Spotless Victim on the hand while standing in a conga line...

I guess this is why they separated from the Catholic Church. First divorce now this; it’s been a long slippery slope.

The ELCA, Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, the largest Lutheran synod, is very liberal and already allows gay ministers. The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod still holds to the Bible.
