Maryland "Freak State" PING!
I might do it with a duffle bag full of LAW rockets or a small Vulcan Rotary Cannon.
I am with you. No desire to go into Baltimore any time soon. Not that it will ever be released in my lifetime, but I would love to see the report on how much tourist money Baltimore is losing out on this season.
Last night, on a Baltimore local news station, there was a report of 4th of July festivities planned around Baltimore’s monument to George Washington, which, as you probably already know, is sited in a lovely little pocket park. As described by one of the planners interviewed on camera, there is to be an event like an old-fashioned country fair.
This left me wondering how many people will actually show up. Last year, there was a lovely little Christmas lighting ceremony at this monument. I remember seeing local coverage of it as it was totally disrupted by Fergusonesque protesters, who drowned out the groups of high school singing groups who were featured as part of the program. For some reason, the police let the jerks come right up to the very edge of the platform where these kids were singing.
I wonder how many citizens or students will want to come back this Christmastime.
