States have a duty to ignore laws that are unconstitutional. In order to protect their citizens.Both you and Ted are correct. Why governors and legislatures accept with no fight rulings from the SCOTUS that are so flat out wrong and beyond the scope of their authority is beyond me.

It don't have to be SCOTUS for a governor to bend over, all it takes is a retired blind family law judge to get a governor to starve a young woman to death.
