New Yorkers, who come from every corner of the world, speak 180 languages. Not surprisingly, nearly half of public school students speak a language other than English at home.

Diversity is friggen awesome.
“New Yorkers, who come from every corner of the world, speak 180 languages. Not surprisingly, nearly half of public school students speak a language other than English at home”
New York, New York. Raising the world’s kids.
tower of babel.
Speak english, problem solved.
Yep
Diversity is an obstacle to be overcome, not a goal to be achieved
Total immersion in English and the kids will do fine.
That’s the whole idea.
Call diversity what it really is: Mongrelization
Multiculturalism is a cult.
Ever look up what it takes to emigrate to another country? Almost every decent country requires you to have a few thousand in the bank and decent job skills. They also require you to make a good-faith effort to SPEAK THE LANGUAGE.
Why do they require you to SPEAK THE LANGUAGE? Because if you can’t or won’t, you’re probably never going to get a job there.
Racial equity in immigration is one thing, but what’s the point in letting in people who speak a language that nobody else speaks?
People who speak Russian or Chinese are going to find thousands of other people who speak those languages who can give them jobs, help them find a place to live, HELP THEM WITH THEIR KIDS’ SCHOOL, and so forth, but what’s the point in letting in someone who only speaks Dusner or Chamicuro?
You’re just letting in someone who is going to be a drag on the system.
