Police lives matter, civilians in their own homes, not so much.

Hasn’t the courts already shot this down?

...aimed at locking up handguns when they're not in use. What if the gun is in use protecting yourself and home?

So retired “union buddies” would have supra rights?
Those idiots can’t shoot straight anyway and shouldn’t have a gun on duty, much less any other time...

No exemptions for anybody.
That includes the politicians and hollyweird glitterati and their body guards.

IIRC..SCOTUS ruled on that very issue a few years ago when it affirmed that the 2nd Amendment didn't just apply to “the militia”.The right to bear arms means, among other things, that firearms needn't be locked up,disassembled or disabled in the home.

Gun owners need to be responsible at all times. Isn’t that taught in gun safety courses? Once again the liberal busybodies want to control things from their ivory tower.
Legislating responsible behavior is never a good thing.

So if you lock the doors and windows on your house are the guns considered locked up?

Attack the tool instead of the tool abuser.
Lock up guns instead of the criminals.
Didn’t Washington DC just get slapped down by the courts for the same approach?

Knock knock. Who’s there? It’s the cops,we need to do a weapons check. It’s mandatory. Open the door now.

Retired officers are civilians. They have to live like the rest of the peons.
They don’t like it, maybe they can admit we all live in the same dangerous world and would all like to be able to defend ourselves - not just ex cops.

I can’t wait for the LA City Council to prohibit the LAPD from carrying firearms at all.
