Well, Salon is about the last place to know why Ann Coulter has lost it with conservatives.

In the first place, CPAC is not really conservative. They are Chamber of Commerce on immigration, and they have a long record of inviting gays to meetings—formerly called Log Cabin Republicans.

Ann Coulter lost it with most real conservatives when she backed Mitt Romney and Chris Christie, and undermined Sarah Palin and other conservative candidates. Too bad, because she continues to write very well when she’s in the mood, and she was a long-time friend of FR. But in this game, you can’t play the middle, unless you are part of the corrupt establishment.

It wasn’t so bad that she endorsed Mitt Romney. It was that she viciously attacked anyone (including conservatives) who wanted someone else for the nominee. That is what did it for me. I was so peeved that I through away two of her books in the garbage. Also, lets not forget how she screamed like a banshee, telling us that we must vote for Turtle Mcconnell over Matt Bevin.
