“This whole week, I’ve been reflecting on this idea of grace,” said President Obama today, just before he broke into song at the funeral for South Carolina State Sen. Clementa Pinckney, a pastor killed along with eight others in last week’s Charleston, S.C., church shooting. The song Obama sang, of course, was “Amazing Grace.”
Obama isn’t the first president to speak about the concept of grace. One of my favorite quotes about grace is by John F. Kennedy, who said, “I look forward to an America which will not be afraid of grace and beauty.” But this was an exceptional moment, when a president spoke at length about something so tender, so ephemeral and so difficult to describe that we don’t ever talk much about it. Obama chose this occasion for a surprisingly profound exploration of what grace means here, today, and for all of us.
We all come to the word “grace” with different perceptions. But whether we think of divine love, or easy, elegant movement, or gentle and welcoming behavior, at the root of these ideas is a sense of joyous giving — a giving of oneself to something greater. Contrary to popular knowledge, the English word Antichrist, from the Greek word "Antichristos", does not mean against Christ. Rather, it literally means counterfeit Christ or "in place of Christ." I do not believe that Barack Hussein Obama is the "in place of Christ" talked about in 2 Thessalonians 2, 1 John, and Revelation. However, I could be wrong.
When I see the most "pro-abortion", "pro-sodomy", "anti-christian", "pro-muslim", "anti-constitution" president that this country has ever known stand in a Christian pulpit and preach to a fawning group of laity AND CLERGY who can barely hold back their tears, I really wonder.
The columnist says about Barack Hussein Obama with religious fervor, "[Obama's] word had a force to make you shiver, because of the way Obama had led up to it. One man’s generosity, one community’s sacrifice and forgiveness, one overarching power urging us to “find our best selves” — and now one nation, united in all of those: generosity, sacrifice, love.." This type of worshipful adoration is rarely experienced this side of the pearly gates. In addition to preaching a sermon on grace and leading worship, the godlike Barack Hussein Obama expressed solidarity with sodomy by celebrating the Supreme Court's decision by bathing the White House in lights that mimicked the rainbow flag of the gay-rights movement.
If Barack Hussein Obama is not the Antichrist, he certainly is a wonderful forerunner. He will be all things to all men. He will be religious and adored by Christians, Muslims, Hindus, Buddhists, and even atheists. He will quote scriptures on command like Obama did in the pulpit. The feel good preachers of our day like Rick Warren, Joel Osteen, Benny Hinn, Kenneth Copeland, even the Pope Francis have not prepared God's flock to recognize this deception. But Christians do not have to be in the dark. Those who will know can read 2 Thess 2 and know. They can avoid the delusion that a person can be a Christian and a homosexual, or a Christian and a fornicator. This is the truth that sets men free...
