Just How Crazy Is the Cultural Change That Culminated in Obergefell v. Hodges?

Since Friday’s Supreme Court ruling in Obergefell v. Hodges, America’s liberal press has written countless victory laps declaring their version of reality the new normal–and conservative support of traditional marriage now a relic of history.

Tom Garrett at The Axis of Ego writes an astounding summary of what really has changed–and just how radical this “new normal” is:

It is impossible not to be impressed by what this activist-driven effort accomplished—I mean in real terms, not the unserious victory slogans of the campaign itself.

In lasting terms? Nothing has changed. God is more provoked now than He was a week ago, but that’s hardly new.

The US Supreme Court has made into stone
that Americans are Unequal under the Law.

1. The Law is whatever the black robed Tyrant
and the their undocumented Indonesian who backs
al Qaeda want. Even if the Law reads opposite.

2. There are at least three classes.

A. The EXEMPT above all Law; from SCOTUScare to SEC.
B. Criminal illegals - who may rape and kill at will
and then be released.
C. Worthless Tax paying Americans
(their children will give organs and their money to the EXEMPT’s children; at least those who survive B).

The American Psychiatric Association decreed that homosexuality was not a mental illness in 1974.

Kennedy's Community Mental Health Act of 1963 began deinstitutionalization of the mentally ill, requiring that the non-mentally ill lock themselves into cages for protection. How crazy is the latest? Not any crazier than the first.

The reason the APA changed their diagnosis that homosexuality was a mental illness was not because of any scientific advance, but because the homofascists conducted a campaign of terror against them.

Relic of history? This latest “judgment” is but another sign that the territory once known as “the United States of America” has ceased to be the republic it once was, and has come under the authoritarian rule of a home-grown oligarchy that can still mine the corpse of that once mighty spirit for personal gain, but as the remains are cannibalized, the continued extraction grows ever more meagre, and even most of the oligarchy falls victim to the same fate as the lesser minions.

Now that they are ordinary on paper, something tells me that gays are going to miss the good old days.

It's axiomatic that psychiatrists are, themselves, at least a little crazy, or they would not have been drawn to the specialty. Homosexual psychiatrists "cured" themselves by turning homosexuality into perfectly normal behavior.

I'm wondering how pre-Christian pagan communities in Europe tolerated homosexual or other deviant behavior.

I'm not really as convinced as some that there has been any real "cultural change". There has been a lot of propaganda spewed all over the "news" and internet. I think, more than anything else, a very small and vocal minority has manufactured this "change", which was aided and abetted by the dominant media.

I think the propaganda organs have been doing some amazing things. It has actually been interesting to watch, though I really think they've overplayed their hands, and moved far too fast on this for it to be swallowed whole as easily as they want it to be.

However, you've got too many people now who pretty much worship the "law". Now that the supreme political court has spoken they'll be on-board with people being persecuted for standing against it. (You see a lot of this worship at 'legal' alters right here on FR.)

Personally, I expect them to push polygamy next, though I don't think it will be as frantic a push as this has been. From a 'legal' and ethical perspective there is a hell of a lot more historical support for polygamy through the ages. It's biblical, and in many nations, accepted. The main reason I don't expect it to be pushed as hard is that there is less of a constituancy in the chattering classes for it. Faggotry has been epidemic amongst power-mongers for a long time. I suspect it's because of the submissive/dominant themes it requires. The numbers of sodomites amongst those in the political class has long been far greater than that amongst the average population (about .005% from my investigations).

Once acceptance of polygamy has been attained, the real goal of the sodomites will start to be seen, which is to lower lower ages of consent to 10-12 years of age. Paedophilia is the real driver behind everything we've seen so far, but from a cultural standpoint,, we're still at least 10-20 years away from them manipulating the public into thinking that opposing it is dangerous.

Why was the big push supporting sodomite marriage? Well from a presidential standpoint, they have their "man" in office, and aren't likely to find a bigger supporter in that position for a while (pardon the pun).

You're seeing Satan at work folks. He and his minions are  running wild and this is the result. It's gonna get worse.

“In lasting terms? Nothing has changed.”

In the short term nothing has changed.
The only difference between today and last Thursday is that gay couples can file a license down at the county clerks office.

In a few weeks at most the hoopla will blow over and there will be some new pressing earth shattering issue that probably won’t mean anything either.

I’m surprised so many conservatives rose to the bait.

The American Psychiatric Association decreed that homosexuality was not a mental illness in 1974.

My father was a practicing psychologist during this era. The reason this was declare NOT a mental illness was gay activists. He recalled them haranguing and coercing the APA. It was hardly an unbiased, scientific decision.
