Yeah, but all the mediots across the political spectrum seem to be all giddy over this. Not the conservative pundits as much as the reporters.
Remember they are living in gay central—New York City and in a totally gay centric industry—the media.
I remember when AIDS became a big national story, then the gays came up with the red ribbon stunt to promote “aids awareness”, eventually they turned a public relations disaster into a public relations success story. There was then AIDS quilt and other AIDS awareness outreaches. They must have had professional public relations people working with them because they knew exactly how to push all the right buttons.
About the AIDS red ribbon campaign, I remember an actress complaining that when they ere going onstage to speak at an awards ceremony, there were gay activists backstage with red ribbons to pin onto the actors about to go on stage. They wanted EVERYBODY to show their support for the AIDS cause (really the gay cause). This is how they operate, they use their working relationships to lobby and embarrass people into supporting them. No doubt there are many gays working backstage in all the networks and they are putting pressure on everyone to “get with the program”.
