Being conservative means telling the truth and calling out hypocrisy.

Well, I knew the writer was referring to engagements to two men, Johnston and Meyer. There was much that I found informative apart from this one point you seem to have made into a vendetta on this thread.

You are hypocritical in your rush to be the one who is proved right about these minor points and other factoids you really do not know for certain just to put down the writer of a post that I appreciate for other pieces of info in the post that were new to me.

I wonder if you even see your hypocrisy of your own postings here. Do you not have personal failings that you would like to keep off the Internet? If you have none, there's no reason not to keep lobbing those stones at Palin's daughter. So, heave away, hypocrite!

And the third man?

What do you call him?

I have many, many personal failings.

I also have a vendetta against worshipping anyone but God.

I have seen people driven from debate because they didn’t care for the Palins. Or the Duggars.

All fall short, especially me. But you know what? I will never attempt to make a living telling others how to live by holding myself up as an example.

I will never tell a person that “if you don’t refrain from criticizing _____, you’re not a true conservative. Palin followers do, did, and will continue to do this. Her followers go nuts to excuse behavior, explain it away, and slam anyone who says otherwise. Duggar followers, too. And others.

I dislike the idea that criticizing a liberal for bad acts is fine, but the same acts by a so-called conservative are fine and and need to be excused.

Wrong is wrong. If Bristol Palin publicly criticizes someone one week for disrespecting her faith, then announces that she will not listen to criticism, do not even try to say it is different.

“Different because I said so” is always wrong. Conservative acceptance of moral relativism removes our platform to be correct.

This whatever-it-is borders on worship, and it is doing great damage to conservatives and our cause.

Please, prove me wrong.
