Conservatives should have gone on the offensive and made legislation to label Gay Marriage as “Gayrriage.” After all, two butt plumbers sharing a life together is a different type of relationship than the traditional man-woman gig.
Offering a SEPARATE definition would have enabled conservatives to maintain control over the definition that “Marriage” is ONLY BETWEEN 1 man & 1 woman.
Let them have their cute wedding ceremonies and wedding rings and hospital visitation rights and nothing more.
I think a primary reason they want “marriage” recognition is for spousal health care benefits, for which there will be a huge cost to society. It’s all about freebies.
