To most of us, America’s founding and the constitution were divinely inspired. You cannot separate God from Liberty or from constitutional government. God is the source of life and liberty. Without God, we have neither.
“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator [God] with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
“We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

I agree with every word, Jim. Our Founders got their principles from Divine Law and our country and Constitution look to our Creator for these rights. And the good Christians who began the great experiment that is the USA were also Judeophiles. Together our faiths bind and we must stand together to get this Union at least heading in the direction of Perfect.
I am Gd-fearing as are the other Jews here. (I know there are conservative atheists here but I can’t explain how they feel about all the founding docs clearly structuring our careful, small government around Gd given rights.)
