I agree with every word, Jim. Our Founders got their principles from Divine Law and our country and Constitution look to our Creator for these rights. And the good Christians who began the great experiment that is the USA were also Judeophiles. Together our faiths bind and we must stand together to get this Union at least heading in the direction of Perfect.
I am Gd-fearing as are the other Jews here. (I know there are conservative atheists here but I can’t explain how they feel about all the founding docs clearly structuring our careful, small government around Gd given rights.)
Elsie, I’m sorry. I don’t see which section of FR I join into; I just look at the headlines. This was about the gay pride parade in London. Which is apparently a sedate occasion compared to the Hollywood one.
Still, while most FReepers are practicing Christians, those who are not are still glad to be a part of this. <3
Jesus was a Jew. The entire Christian bible is God’s written Word about His chosen people and how Jews and gentiles are to live and worship. Our Father in Heaven is the one true Judeo-Christian God and he rules over us all.

But the ‘country’ is NOT the most valuable thing that exists.
History teaches us nothing if we fail to realize even the mightiest of empires eventually crumble; and new ones arise.
Be sure of your FINAL destination; not that just this earthly stopever is a fine place to exist for a while.

My 'practice' is faulty at best; but I gladly accept those folks with differing religious beliefs who have a Conservative, Constitutional bent to their other beliefs.
I won't try to change the latter, but will, at times, make myself quite vocal about the former.

True, true, but we discuss here aboutnthis earthly realm. I’m not sure it’s exactly the same in Christianity but we believe we are put here to make this world a better place - I agree that it’s not about country ultimately, but this forum is.
