I have said this elsewhere, but a lot of this is due to the present abundance of cheap money for governments to borrow and spend and run up big debts with. Money they are practically pulling out of thin air via electronic means. However, it will be interesting to see what takes place when it ends (it can not last forever, of course). Many of us will take it on the chin to one degree or another, but I’d hate to see what will happen to people who really do depend on the entitlements and free lunches, etc when they become no longer sustainable.
Socialism? The soviets would have been thoroughly disgusted. We are going much worse than them.

The left has constantly proclaimed our nation to be a democracy instead of a Republic. Why, then, since in a democracy the people vote for what they want, are our votes being nullified by the courts?
How do they reconcile the differences?
We (America) have none to blame but ourselves. As far back as 1960 Congress reviewed the goals of communism. We’ve seen every bit of that come to pass. Tail Gunner Joe was right. We were wrong. And stupid.
So let’s just keep doing what we’ve been doing the same way we’ve been doing it in the Age of Info. An obviously losing strategy is obviously the way to go. (slaps forehead)
