My understanding is not yet, but it is only a lawsuit away.

I predict that lawsuits will be filed demanding this very soon. (They have to have time to go and ask to schedule their weddings, and be refused, before they have a cause of action.)
Would anyone like to make a wager on the other side?

Forget about the ‘churches required to perform same sex marriage’.
Next Big Gov is going to use quotas to force churches to preach same sex marriage.

If they want to maintain tax exempt status, yes. Watch. It’s next. This ruling decimated any chance of religious freedom in America. Your religious freedoms are GONE, according to FedGov. You might want to take a hardline stance today, or sit down and accept your chains, peasant.

If a church restricts marriage ceremonies to just their own members and does not rent out the church to outside people, I believe they will be safe......................

You raise an excellent point about Mosques. If SCOTUS were to rule that ALL clergy be forced to perform same-sex marriages, then Mosques would ALSO be forced to do same.
It is for this reason that I do not believe ALL clergy will be forced, if it violates their doctrine. Any lawsuit MUST raise the issue of Mosques, then we'll see what the SCOTUS is made of (although we already know).
The SCOTUS has opened the bottle and the genie won't go back in. MASSIVE mistake of epic proportions.

If not yet you can bet it is coming.

Not technically — yet. But very very soon they will lose their tax exempt status if they refuse.

I can see the decision now.....
The right of the individual to practice HIS religion cannot be abridged, as the "church" is simply a collective where its followers may be free to agree or disagree with any point of teaching from their leadership. Thus, the church building becomes simply a venue, with a duly appointed church leader serving as a "service provider".
And since service providers cannot discriminate on the basis of sexual orientation........ouila!

When the dust settles we should all head down to our local mosque to get gay married to a dog.
To: Tzimisce
Of course not, churches and Mosques and Mormon Temples are not required to do anything with marriage one way or the other.

There is already saber rattling by the sodomite hordes. Some are even calling for the mandatory excising of condemnation of homosexuality from the Bible.
Be sure that church’s tax exempt status are already on the chopping block.

Yes. Otherwise it is discrimination. They must also marry man to chair etc.
