So unusual in this country right now. I’m the son of an unwed mother who wisely put me up for adoption immediately and I was adopted at three months of age by a career Marine and his wife.
A long time friend of mine and his wife had been trying to conceive for eight years since they were married. They have since been going the adoption route for 3 years. Two days before Christmas they rec'd a call from the Catholic agency in town that a baby was available - from an unwed mother, father was known to her, but was older, was all they were told. Now they have a happy, healthy and beautiful 6 month old daughter, adopted into a family with many cousins, aunts uncles and grandparents who will make sure she wants for nothing.
