First all, he’s not getting impeached (and removed, impeachment is only step 1) any more than Obama is getting impeached and removed. Now is not the time for silly fantasy. Now is the time for getting a good Republican elected President so we can repeal this law.
Second of all, impeaching and removing ANY judge while Obama is the one who gets to appoint a replacement would be extremely moronic.
When we next have a conservative President I hope Roberts has a health scare (AIDS? Some people insist he’s queer cause of some photograph, I don’t get it) that forces him to retire. Until then I hope for his well being because his replacement would be awful and the fight in the Senate over the confirmation would be awful. We have 4 justices that vote wrong on ALMOST EVERYTHING, we cannot afford a 5th. Take every 5-4 decision where Roberts and Kennedy voted the right way and reverse them, not good.
“Now is not the time for silly fantasy.”
Barring truly drastic steps, you’re correct.
IF, IF an ACTUAL Republican gets elected next year, job #1 needs to be to get a couple SCOTUS Injustices to retire and replace them with Scalia/Thomas/Alito clones.
Enough with “play by the rules because that’s what ladies and gentlemen do” and “Old Country Buffet is running a 2-4-1 special if you get in before 10 am” mentality that the GOP has and start fighting, ‘cause this IS a war.
“...Impeach Chief Justice...”
Ain’t
Gonna
Happen.
Next....
Not while a Democrat is President. I do think he needs to be questioned as to how in hell he thought this was Constitutional.
IMHO, Anthony Kennedy will be retiring soon, as will Ruth Bader Ginsburg.
