Donald Trump: I'm Suing Univision for Hundreds Of Millions Over Miss USA
TMZ ^ | 25 June 2015 | TMZ Staff

Posted on 06/25/2015 11:55:49 AM PDT by Steely Tom

Donald Trump has a vision for Univision ... it involves a courtroom, a jury and a bank account that will be bled dry.

Trump tells TMZ, he will sue Univision for "hundreds of millions of dollars" for breaching what he says is a binding, 5 year deal to air the Miss USA pageant.

The Donald says Univision had no legal right to back out of the deal Thursday, based on his comments about Mexico and Mexicans, saying many of them who come here are drug dealers and rapists.

Trump tells us, the contract, which was signed in January of this year, is iron-clad. He also says Univision became immediately apologetic after pulling the plug, telling him they were backed against a wall and pleading with him not to talk about Mexico anymore or to at least soften his view.

The candidate says, "I love the Mexican people, but I'm running for President and our country comes first."

And, as for Cristian de la Fuente, the "Devious Maids" star who says he's backing out of hosting the pageant, Trump tells us, "We never even signed the guy. After the Miss USA people saw him they were unimpressed."

You know what, it’s going to take someone audacious to stop my prediction.

I agree with you on trade, and immigration. Can’t say that you’re wrong about the Republicans. Wish I could.

We’re seeing some of those Republicans at work here on the forum too.

We carped for decades on this issue, and now it really isn’t all that important? Cheese whiz!

I agree with both of you on the entertainment industry issue.

They have been above the law.

Looking anything but Presidential

You bet Geron, we need candidates who look like Bush, and Obama and need to continue supporting those who lie to our faces with a real nice smile.

We want more of the same now!

If Univision is going to breach their contract, he’s exactly right to take them to task.

Agreed!!

Well Trump isn’t exactly Presidential stuff we’re accustomed to, that’s for sure. However I’m up for whoever will get the job done as we don’t have time to pussyfoot around.....It needs to be someone who brings the hammer down and the guts to do that.

As I see this Univsion move...it’s the Hollywood big wigs, stars and all, who are activists but would never admit to, and fully in the Demorats pockets.....they don’t want to hear or see what Trumps saying...they want him out of the game.

People like Stiesand and good old Dameon and many producers etc....and the list pretty much covers all of Hollywood but precious few.

There’s a reason Washington entertains Hollywood in the Whitehouse.....private parties and such. That’s where the money is.

Trump’s proudly pro-abortion.

Trump’s proudly anti-gun.

Trump gives lots of cash to Democrats.

Then people from Mexico insulted what Trump has said he hopes will be a Caitlyn Jenner-led “beauty pageant”, so he’s whining on Twitter like a thirteen year old girl, and some Freepers lose their collective mind over his “patriotism”.

He’s serving them rotting garbage wrapped in the flag, and they beg for more scraps.

Can’t see attacking the messenger, with his warts & all.....it’s the message that counts, and Trump’s message is dead on.

...”GO TRUMP!”....

I’m really glad he’s running. ...and he needs to show he won’t be moved by the money crowd.....they can’t hit him anywhere but in the pocket.....

Univision ( Democratic Hollywood) just announced they’re playing in the political game by this move...Trump just told them watch me!

I do like his way of handling issues.....tired of the toe tipping politics...it’s refreshing to hear someone call it as it is and put it right out there.

But I’m still a Cruz gal!!!!!

Trump is pro-abortion.

But this more than makes up for that, right?

Trumps demands a national three day waiting period to buy a gun. Trump wants to ban “assault weapons”.

But insulting Univision over what Trump has said he hopes is a Caitlyn Jennings-led beauty pageant is enough for you to sell your soul.

Who is the clever one again?

He’s standing up for himself. That’s a good thing. They’re trying to back out of a contract, and even more importantly, they’re trying to pressure him into softening his stance on immigration. He’s fighting them on it. If that makes him unpresidential, then I guess there are worse things to be called.

Supporting abortion and massive gun control (national three day waiting period and “assault weapons” ban) are just “warts” now?

That is sick.

Awesome. I think it would be OH so sweet if Trump sues, wins, and ends up owning a majority of that network.
