The Obama mouthpiece, Roberts, is not a “fellow conservative” of Justice Scalia. Evidently, he has been bought or threatened. He is an enemy of the republic.

But had he chosen to uphold the constitution he may have been able to bring Kennedy along with him instead of giving him the cover to vote against the constitution

They are not idiots. They are pushing an ideology to which the putatively conservative Roberts has attached himself. There is no representation of anything conservative in any branch of the government now. The Court has shifted without a new appointment. At some point the Court will “break new ground” on the 2nd Amd and declare that words had different meanings in 1790 from now and will then assign those different meanings to those words. “Infringed” meant what we mean now when we say “Permitted.”

"Congress passed the Affordable Care Act to improve health insurance markets, not to destroy them," Roberts wrote in his opinion Thursday.

Last time Roberts stated that it was not the supreme court's job to rehabilitate the laws passed by congress.

That is exactly what he has done with this ruling. He is saying that it is not what the said, but what he thinks they meant that is counts.

He introduces a new standard to legal interpretation: words don't always mean the "natural meaning of words". Sometimes they mean something else.

Any primary school student knows that you capitalize “State” when referring to the pronoun of and individual State and don’t capitalize “state” when referring to generic noun of a particular nation. SCOTUS only has to look at their own title to understand this - Supreme Court of the United States not Supreme Court of the state.

I used to believe this but now believe that John Sutter Roberts was, is and always will be a liberal activist judge. His court will make the Warren Burgers court screw-ups look trivial.

Damn you John Roberts to hell for what you have done to this country along with the rest of that criminal rabble in Washington, damn you all to hell.

The outcome was never in doubt to anyone who has bee paying attention instead of spouting off and engaging in wishful thinking.

A person has to acknowledge that such rulings of law by a court of human beings does not make or constitute natural laws that cover different persons. I take that humans ,even the highest of judges are prone, at least in today’s world, to be self contained rather than contained by any societal documents such as our Declaration of Independence and Constitution. Appointed judges at any level will seek to make law that serves their self interests. FDR recognized the fallibility of high judges when he tried to ‘pack’ the court. At that time the US had high court judges who cared that our Constitution was controlling as opposed to any judges wanting to be feely-goody’. It appears that in today’s US judges can make 80 to 90 % of the people subservient to the wishes and whims about anything of 10 to 20 % of persons.

Hasn’t his regime been thumped in court more than any other?

my guess is that when his two kid that he is being black mailed on turn eighteen that the left will have a big problem because I believe at one point Roberts saw him self as a man of principal and the hard left was able to get him to break all his principals to protect the children he and his wife adopted.
for any that don’t know he adopted two children in south America that turned out were citizens of Ireland and the adoption he and his wife did was illegal, It is believed that those related to the children are holding this over his head controlling what rulings he has been giving in the court. the reason why all of this is not being investigated is the black mail did not start tell Obama was in office and in control of the justice department. plus the reality for Justice Roberts is that because of treaties if the family in Ireland try’s to claim the kids he has 0 chance of keeping them legaly

We’ll have to reserve a lamppost for him.

That would be great exercise for someone living in D.C. Go around and put names on the lampposts.

I was always ticked reading Cher would move to France or Alec Baldwin will move out of US if such and such happened, but, my wife has a friend that moved to Bali two years ago, built him a nice villa with pool for $30,000 and is loving life very inexpensively - that is starting to sound like a sound plan.

Because this land has not listened to God, God has let the devil turn its wisdom into craziness. We must all pray for the Lord to have mercy.

Amen to that.

After the blackmail in Obola’s senate race against Ryan, nothing suprises me. I never ever thought in my life I’d see something this bizarre but sadly I think we are watching it in action

This decision may well mark the end of the state exchanges. Many of the 13 state exchanges are basket cases and net financial drain on the states. Even though these exchanges cost billions to establish the states are free to dump them without any penalty.

And anyhow it can be cogently argued that this kind of meddling WILL destroy the markets.
