Nearly half of the 26.5 million Americans (46%) who work part-time are desperate to work full-time, according to a new report — “A Tale of Two Workforces: The Benefits and Burdens of Working Part Time” — by Rutgers University. The vast majority of the nation’s 26 million part-time workers — from college students working in coffee shops between classes to freelance computer software designers working for multinationals — receive no benefits beyond their paychecks and almost one-third say their financial condition is flat out poor. Nearly one-in-five American workers is employed in a part-time job, logging fewer than 35 hours a week. Some 20 million people, known as voluntary part-time workers, do so to supplement their income, pursue an education, or care for children, but another 6.5 million Americans, so-called involuntary part-time employees, want a full-time job but can’t find one. The persistence of such large numbers of involuntary part-time workers is an indicator of underlying weaknesses in the U.S. labor market six years since the beginning of the economic recovery, the study found.

I stopped in my local Aldi grocery store this morning and they were taking applications for cashiers. People lined up out the door and around the corner. Most dressed in full business/professional attire. All to apply for a handful of cashier jobs.
What recovery? Things have been getting worse since about November 4th, 2008.
I know of 2 small business owners that can’t find some that wants to W O R K..they all be wanting the $$$ but not put out the work effort.
...And the Obama water carriers in the media never report it...I have to read the British papers to get any balance on anything concerning Odumbo.

I am starting to think a temporary military takeover is going to be neccessary...This situation is headed over the cliff at 200 mph. This treason on a grand scale is not being reported as such.
I have been saying for years that we are still in a recession, strictly on the number of people who remain unemployed after losing their jobs when the recession began.
I go to a local grocery store, that has a Starbucks in it, to get my mocha every morining. One of the "baristas" once said to me that she didn't want some high paying position, she would just like to be able to find one full-time job that paid her the same as the two part-time jobs she was working.
I suggest they suggest they reevaluate their compensation package if they wish to attract quality applicants. You get what you pay for.
What recovery?...Indeed! People I know are still looking for work or have gone over to the dark side of dependency on government. The media doesn’t touch this..RECOVERY? MY ASS!!!

Because of today’s vote Obamatrade now will pass . Today’s vote passing TPA made Obamatrade a certainty because TPA banned adding amendments to TPP . The Senate could have used amendments to stop TPP . Now TPP won’t be stopped. so those who campaigned here for it’s passage are also responsible for the destruction of America. FYI there are 6 billion people in the 3rd world. Obama is about to bring most of them to the USA .They are coming here now so the USA is done.

Stuff and nonsense; with Obamacare these part-time workers have the time to pursue their dreams to write, paint and make music. Eating good food and having good housing is secondary to having $6,000 deductible health insurance when you are free to follow your muse.
