Well, are these true Jews with genetic roots back to the 12 Tribes?
Or are they Khazar Jews who are descended from a Caucasian ethnicity that adopted Judaism for political and economic power (so they wouldn’t have to fight the Muslims on one side of their empire and the Christians on the other side)?
Khazars were Oghur Turks with an empire that included Cis-Caucasia but included most of the Pontic and Caspian Steppe. They were not Caucasian. Aside from your not knowing who they were, and where they existed, I am not surprised that you are unaware that all genetic studies have shown no significant Turkic genetic influence on Ashkenazi Jews in general. The only Turkic Jews are the few hundred Karaylar (Tatar Karaites) and all but wiped out Krymchaks (Tatar Rabbinate Jews). It is no surprise then that Karaylar, who come from an area that was once part of Khazaria, claim to be Khazars. In fact, in the 19th Century, they claimed not to be Jews at all. Rather, they claimed to be Turks of the Mosaic faith to avoid Russian anti-Jewish laws, and in the 1940s escapted the clutches the SS. (I could get into the faustian deal they made to survive. PS. I am one of those Jews with some Khazar ancestry on my father's side. That doesn't make us leftists.

I didn’t say all were leftists, but there are many JINOs in this country (as there were in Germany, esp. in academe, who were communists) that push fiercely for secularist, authoritarian governments.

I could never understand why, with the history of the Jews in the Old Testament so clearly demonstrating that when His people abandon him for worldly pursuits, they run themselves into utter chaos and danger and only survive because He saves them.

But I suppose it is like any group that uses their group identity to push some ulterior agenda.

As far as the genetic lines from that reason and who was “Caucasian,” there was so much raping and intermarrying that the bloodlines from that epoch are completely blurred. Khazaria controlled the Caucasus mountains and the seat of their empire was in its shadows. If you want to split hairs over calling them Caucasian, go right ahead. The point is that they were an eastern European pagan empire constantly fighting the Muslims on one side and the Christians on the other. Their solution was quite clever: they adopted the religion that was father to both of them.
