not a single governor has even whispered the word secession.
Isn’t that sad.
Here’s what I’m going to do. Probably won’t do any good but I’m trying. Maybe I’ll send one to Gregg Abbott asking for secession.

I wrote to John Hoeven shortly after he became Governor of North Dakota. I pointed out to him that the abortion decisions of the USSC are all “immoral commands,” i.e., the Catholic Church teaches that they cannot be obeyed. As did the Nuremberg tribunal.
That being the case, I said, it was his duty as Governor to disobey the Supreme Court—which would mean enforcing North Dakota’s abortion laws, which are still on the books.
He never answered me, but he talked to a friend of mine. He found everything I said incomprehensible.
The American bishops have NEVER issued a statement in which they specified the moral obligations of various government officials regarding abortion. I.e., the duties of legislators, the duties of governors, the duties of the police.
The reason for this, of course, is that a significant number of bishops are pro-abortion. Bernardin, Wuerl, all the “Peace Bishops” of the 1980’s, all the bishops (the vast majority) who teach that abortion is not a sin by giving Communion to abortionists like Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi.
