First, it’s very hard to see that Boehner and McConnell have any real opposition. Jim Jordan is the only reliable one I can find. Ted Cruz on some issues, Mike Lee on a couple. That’s pretty much it. Almost every “conservative” we’ve sent to D.C. has stabbed us in the back, not just once or twice but all the time. Think: Pat Toomey, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio.
Sessions of AL is reliably conservative, Vitter sometimes.
It’s not a good situation.
There are more in the House, Dave Brat needs more company, for sure.
You left out Senator Jeff Sessions, Alabama. That man is probably the most steady opposition voice we have.
