I’m a 20+ year veteran, including some time in the Air National Guard so I feel entitled to criticize this photo.
Maybe, just maybe, if the Air Force would stop spending so much time and man hours on photo op BS they could easily fund the A-10 that saves the lives of troops on the ground.
OR! Wrap your heads around this crazy idea! Create a Bomber to replace the B-52 that carries MORE payload, uses modern efficient off the shelf engines, radar, electronics, targeting, etc..... An airframe is a platform to strap whatever gizmo to....and (drumroll) increases crew survivability. Imagine that you dipshit fighter jockies.
