For the record, the Battle Flag is not the Stars and Bars.
The Confederate Battle Flag is also known as “The Southern Cross”
The Stars and Bars was the national flag of the Confederacy.
What is humorous to me, as a resident of Georgia, the big argument was to remove the state flag because it had the southern cross. It was replaced by almost an exact duplicate of the National Flag of the Confederacy and no one blinks an eye. In my opinion, they replaced the state flag with one that is even more confederate.
