Yes, as a matter of fact, that IS the point. Someone from Pennsylvania was reported to have commented, negatively, on the large number of churches in "The South". I found that comment odd (to say the least) because churches are quite numerous in "The North" (where this individual was from) as well. Having actually lived on both sides of the Mason-Dixon Line, I speak to that from my own personal experience.
If you wish to comment on the (erroneous, in your opinion and maybe mine as well) theology preached in those churches, that's a wholly separate point from anything I was saying.
