British pensioners get winter fuel allowance from the Govt and help with heating and heating costs. You make the UK sound like some hellhole.
Also very few UK houses have stoves these days, the ‘newer’ houses (ie those built since the 60’s) have central heating as a legal requirement. Unless they live in some old big house, UK old folks like in a home with central heating and a fire, either coal or electric, usually the latter.

When I was very young, I remember a book that taught about the 100,000 year cycle of cooling and warming. It would become warmer for 10,000 years or so, and then return to another 100,000 years of ice. Many theories have tried to explain this reality. It is going to get colder. Even if we purposefully pumped C02 and methane into the atmosphere, when the Sun cools, so will we. The current GloBull Gloaming computer ‘models’ cannot compute clouds, and do not take into account the fluctuations of the Sun. In other words, those ‘models’ are crap!

That was actually just a bit of sarcasm; but the way the scientific community has been prognosticating the weather and climate for the last 20 years, I think I will purchase even more stock in Coppertone.
