'Fed up' conservatives plot revenge against Boehner

Dozens of members of the House GOP's most conservative faction plan to meet Tuesday to discuss ways to counteract the decision of House Speaker John Boehner and other leaders to seek retribution against members who vote against must-pass measures.

The House Freedom Caucus, a GOP group made up of about 40 of the most conservative members, plans to hold the discussion some time after Tuesday's evening votes, according to lawmakers familiar with the initiative.

Freedom Caucus Chairman Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, said Monday in a radio interview that many conservatives were "fed up" with the string of punishment meted out to members who don't vote in line with the Republican leadership on key legislation.

Whatever.

When they quit the GOP and form a 3rd party in the House, then I will give a damn. Just trying to fudge around with rules and procedures is nothing but a show.

Jordan is a blowhard. Its not like these are new issue with Boehner. Jordan supported his re-election to the speaker position when it mattered the most.

I won’t forget that.

All they have to do is expose Boehner's crookedness. For instance, what is JB's net worth, compared to his net worth in 2010? Start there.

Does his wife have illegal aliens doing her housework? Just something like that would be explosive!

Also don’t forget that Chaffetz was a Dukakis campaign chairman. Now he is a GOP committee chairman???? What a joke the GOP has become.

Boehner and his entire “leadership” team is worthless. McReid in the senate is no better.

My thought exactly. Where were these 40 “conservatives” when (what was it?) 16 votes could have derailed his speakership?

“When they quit the GOP and form a 3rd party in the House, then I will give a damn.”

Without them, Boner doesn’t have a majority. Perhaps the threat of leaving the GOP would be an effective weapon against GOPE.

16 votes couldn’t derail his Speakership unless they’d be willing to accept Pelosi as Speaker again. Maybe now they would - and in some sick sense I would love to see it because I have gone from disliking Boehner to just loathing him deeply - but the idea that merely 16 could derail.....not quite as simple as that.

We have simply got to take out Boner in the next election. We just have to. Possibly McCarthy as well.

They didn’t have the votes to tank him. A few brave ones came out publicly but were summarily punished for it.

Pelosi wouldn’t have become speaker, as she would also need a majority vote. All the Pubs had to do is vote for another Pub instead of boner.
